Description of key information

In a pour point method, ASTM D 5950, the pour point was determined to be -9 °C (± 3 °C).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
-9 °C

Additional information

A reliability rating of 2 was assigned to this study, according to the criteria of Klimisch, 1997 as the information was obtained from an in house study conducted to ASTM D5950 method.

Due to the viscous properties of tetrapropenyl phenol, measurement of the pour point was considered more appropriate than measuring a melting point.
