Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The water solubility of substances with an expected high solubility is normally determined according to the flask method described in OECD Guideline for the Testing of Chemicals 105. To apply this method, the preparation of saturated solutions of the test item in water is required. Since this is not possible for this test item, because it consists of a complex mixture (UVCB substance) and the Guideline is only applied for pure substances, a homemade method described in the Standard Operation Procedure STD/001 from Competence Center Analytics, BASF SE (chapter 5: visual method) is applied to investigate high to complete miscibility. The solubility of FeNaEDDHA was determined to be in the range of 150 - 203 g/L at 23 degree C.
