Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

As per theGuidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance, R.7.1.9, “The flash point is a key measure of the flammability of a liquid. It measures the lowest temperatureat which the vapour/air mixture above the liquid can be ignited.”

Charcoal, coconut shell is not a liquid (it is a solid substance), so the Flash point determination does not apply. [For solids, the Flammability is of relevance. ]
