Testing of the Explosive properties of Charcoal, coconut shell does not need to be conducted, as the substance does not contain chemical groups associated with explosive properties.

Additional information

As per theREACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006), Annex VII, sub 7.11, the Explosive properties study does not need to be conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule.

 

Charcoal, coconut shell is produced from lignocellulosic material under reducing conditions, and therefore does not contain said groups.
