Description of key information

In accordance with section 1, Annex XI of Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 (REACH), the study does not need to be conducted. Testing of flammability is not considered to be scientifically required for silver chloride, which is an inorganic metal salt consisting of Ag+ and Cl- ions in a crystalline matrix. Therefore, this substance is intrinsically not combustible and therefore also not considered to be flammable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Testing of flammability is not considered to be scientifically required for silver chloride, which is an inorganic metal salt consisting of Ag+ and Cl- ions in a crystalline matrix. Therefore, this substance is intrinsically not combustible and therefore also not considered to be flammable. No hazard classification for flammability is required.
