Additional information

The self-ignition of 2-[(2-nitrophenyl)amino]ethanol was determinated according to the EU Method A 16 and the GLP.

Using a linear increase in temperature of 0.5 °C/min up to about 400 °C, the test item 2-[(2-nitrophenyl)amino]ethanol showed no self-ignition reaction. At the end of measurement the test item was solid, the colour was black and the volume of the test item was reduced.

The self-ignition test is classified as acceptable, and satisfies the guideline requirements for the EU method A.16
