Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
02 March - 09 May 2017
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Remarks on result:
no self ignition observed under the test conditions

Results:

Using a linear increase in temperature of 0.5 °C/min up to about 400 °C, the test item diphosphoric acid, compound with 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine (1:2) showed no self-ignition reaction. At the end of measurement the test item was solid, the colour was grey and the volume of the test item was reduced.

Conclusions:
The test item diphosphoric acid, compound with 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine (1:2) (CAS 13518-93-9; EC 236-860-0) is considered to be not auto-flammable, according to the criteria as described in the guideline.

Description of key information

Auto flammability: not auto-flammable (EU Method A.16, GLP)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The potential auto flammability of diphosphoric acid, compound with 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine (1:2) (CAS 13518-93-9; EC 236-860-0) was evaluated in a study conducted according to EU Method A.16 and GLP (Wagner-Rivas V, 2017). The test item showed no self-ignition reaction up to 400°C. Therefore, the test item is considered to be not auto-flammable.
