Justification for classification or non-classification
In the prelimiary test the test item charred and began to melt and bubble before igniting 7 seconds after the Bunsen flame was applied, with a yellow/orange flame which self-extinguished without propagating combustion. therefore according to Method N.1 of United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, 6th revised edition, 2015 no further testing is required and the substance should not be classified as flammable solid.
