Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

An exact Vp could not be measured. DMPT is considered to form aggregates in the gas phase, additionally also degradation or transformation during evaporation or gas phase transport were observed. Therefore, the static method were preferred for the CSA.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
56.2 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

US EPA tool: EpiSuite 4.1 with user entered boiling point: 300 °C

Vapor Pressure Estimations (25 °C): Using BP: 300 °C

Selected VP: 0.00195 mm Hg (Modified Grain Method) : 0.26 Pa at 25 °C (Modified Grain Method).

Static Method:

Calculating the Vp based on the equation given by the static method yielded a Vp: 144.4 Pa at 25 °C, which is much higher than the calculated value from EpiSuite. The Vp at 20 °C could be estimated to be 56.2 Pa.

Gas Saturation Method:

Method not suitable. The Vp of DMPT at 50 °C could only be roughly estimated to be in the range of 0.0001 to 0.001 Pa.
