Description of key information

The effective concentration (EC50) for piperazine adipate for Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata at 72 hours is estimated to be 119.68 mg/L for effect on growth. Based on this value it can be concluded that piperazine adipate is not toxic to aquatic environment based the criteria given by CLP regulation.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
119.68 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
37.85 mg/L
