Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Adsorption / desorption

Soil Adsorption Coefficient i.e Koc value of piperazine adipate was estimated as 33.79 L/kg by means of MCI method. This indicates that piperazine adipate will have low tendency of sorption to soil and sediment and therefore have moderate migration potential to groundwater. This Koc value when converted at 20 degC is equivalent to 27.032.

The supporting study shows value different from the key study which could be due to the difference in the estimation conditions. However, for the purpose of the dossier as well as for the chemical safety report the experimental value will be considered.

Henry's Law constant

Henry's Law states that at a constant temperature, the amount of a given gas that dissolves in a given type and volume of liquid is directly proportional to the partial pressure of that gas in equilibrium with that liquid. Henry’s law constant ofpiperazine adipatewas estimated to be 0.0000000000000421(4.21E-014) Pa m³/mol at 25 degC.
