Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A study evaluating the toxicity of Glycerides, C8-21 and C8-21-unsaturated, mono- and di-, acetates (CAS No. 97593-30-1) to algae is available (Weyers, 2007). This test was conducted according to EU method C.3 (Algal Inhibition test), under GLP conditions.Desmodesmus subspicatuswas exposed to the test substance for 72 hours at 23 ± 2°C. After the exposure period, no effects on algal biomass or growth rate were reported at any of the concentrations tested. Therefore, the EL50 (72 h) is > 0.264 mg/L (measured concentration).

In conclusion, no effects were observed up to the maximum achievable concentration in test medium.
