GHS

General Information

Name:
2-methoxyethyl acrylate
Implementation:
EU
Type of classification:
harmonised classification
Remarks:

The substance was recently inserted, with ATP15, entering into force 01 March 2022, in CLP Annex VI for harmonised classification (FL3, ATO4, ATI3, SCI1C, EDI1, SS1, Muta2, Repro1B(FD)). The classification proposed here is consistent with this CLH, but additional classifications for ATD3 and EH C3 were added, based on data presented in this registration dossier.

The substance is a liquid; hazard classes relating specifically to other physical states are not applicable.

Impuries 1, 3 and 4 identified in IUCLID section 1.2, LE composition, also have a CLH, but their maximum concentration is much below the specific or generic concentration limits for classification, therefore they are not considered to impact the classification of the substance.
