Description of key information

The substance is a black organic powder at ambient temperature.

Exothermic decomposition was observed at about 250°C. No melting point was found between -50°C and decomposition of the test item; therefore boiling points is not recorded.

The relative density was determined by means of a pycnometer and recorded at 1.643 at 20 °C.

The particle size distribution of the test item was analyzed by laser diffraction according to ISO 13320-1, with evaluation according to Fraunhofer and the D50 resulted was 467 µm.

The substance is very soluble and the estimated log Pow via the single solubilities in n-octanol an water is < -4.2 at 23°C and according to the HPLC method a log Pow was determined at < 0.3, showing affinity to organic solvent.

Vapour pressure is < 1*10-6 hPa at20°C as well as at about 50°C.

Properties like surface tension and flash point can be neglected as the substance is a solid.

The substance is not auto-flammable, flammable, explosive and not oxidising.
