In the GESTIS data bank following statement is made:

Inhalative Exposition gegenüber Konzentrationen über 550 ppm sollen bei Freiwilligen nach kurzer Zeit unerträglich starke Reizungen an Augen und Nase bewirkt haben, verbunden mit Husten, Würgreiz und Übelkeit. Bei 260 und 100 ppm war die Reizung noch bemerkbar, jedoch nicht mehr bei 35 ppm. Der als "widerlich" charakterisierte Geruch wurde auch bei 35 ppm noch wahrgenommen. In einer Übersicht zu Geruchsschwellenwerten ist für B. ein Bereich von 15 - 363 ppm (ohne Detailinformation) angegeben.
