Description of key information

According to the EU method A10, the test substance is not considered to be highly flammable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

In a GLP compliant study, performed according to EU method A.10, the flammability of the test substance was determined. Hot platinum wire, approximately 1000°C was used as a ignition source (Ciba-Geigy 1985). Although the substance could be ignited, the flame did not spread out. Therefore the test substance is not considered to be highly flammable.

Justification for classification or non-classification

As the test substance is not flammable, classification is not needed according to the Directive 67/584/EEC and according to the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
