Description of key information

The test substance is hydrolitically stable under environmental conditions (pH7).

Additional information

In a GLP-compliant study according to EC guideline No L 251/C.10, hydrolysis of the test substance was tested at varying temperatures and as a function of pH (CG, 1985).

In a preliminary test at 50 °C, it was determined that hydrolysis of the test substance is <10 % at pH 4.0 and 7.0 and >10 % at pH 9.0. Calculated half-life times at pH 4 and 7 and at 25 °C were >1 year. Hence in the final test the hydrolysis was examined only at pH 9.0 and a temperature of 39 °C. The half-life time under these conditions was 250 hours.
