Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

According to REACH regulation (Annex VII, 7.13, column II), the study on oxidising properties does not need to be done as the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials. On the basis of the chemical structure the substance does not contain any oxygen or halogen atoms that are chemically bonded to nitrogen or oxygen.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the above information and according to the criteria of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008, hydroquinone is NOT classified as oxidising
