Results

The preliminary stage

Burning time measurement and burning violence observation have been done for a mixture of tested substance and cellulose in weight ratio 2:1 formed into a small cone-shaped pile. Comparison of obtained data for the cones made for mixtures of tested substance with cellulose and of barium nitrate with cellulose in weight ratio 2:1.

Mixture of tested substance and cellulose in ratio weight 2:1

Burning time [s]

Remarks on reaction

Test 1

165

No flame, the sample smoulders continuously on thick of 2mm. The middle of the sample wasn’t burned.

Test 2

144

Test 3

158

Test 4

154

Test 5

124

The shortest burning time of mixture of tested substance and cellulose - tp[s]

124

Burning time of standard mixture– tw[s]

68

Minimal burning time of mixture of tested substance and cellulose: tp= 124 s

Minimal burning time of standard mixture: tw= 68 s

The condition: tp> 1.5 twis fulfilled. Therefore, it is not necessary to conduct the train test.

Interpretation of results:
other: no oxidising properties
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The test item has no oxidising properties under the conditions of the test.
Executive summary:

The test substance has been determined to have no oxidising properties in a GLP study (2008) according to the Standard Operating Procedure SPR/BC-FC/03/b which corresponds to 92/69/EEC method A.17.
