- These experiments were not performed under Good Laboratory Practice standards. The data were, however, generated using the U.S. National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health's analytical method NIOSH 6011. Standard operating procedures were followed throughout the study from preparation, sampling, shipping samples, sample analysis, and data retention. Therefore, the data are well documented and scientifically acceptable.

- Bromine samples were collected using MSA high flow pumps set at approximately 1 L/min. Preloaded cassette filters were used, which contained PTFE and silver membrane coatings.

- A Utility Team Member and a Technical OPerator II wore personal air samplers for 431 minutes or 442 minutes, respectively, while performing routine duties at the West Plant Bromine process area.

- Two employees were monitored at the West Plant Bromine process area for 431 or 442 minutes. The measured concentrations of bromine during these respective time periods were 0.01 ppm and 0.00 ppm.
