Description of key information

Phototransformation and photolysis in water is not regarded as an important environmental fate process of this substance. The Ionic constituents may absorb UV-VIS light in the surface layer of natural waters, but these light absorption processes are expected to have only minor effect (if any) on the constituents if compared to other, more remarkable fate processes (adsorption, biotransformation, volatilization...).
