DNEL values for inhalation have been derived based on dihydrogen sulfide, the most toxic and volatile constituent of green liquor. The sulfides, (mono)sulfide, hydrogensulfide and dihydrogen sulfide are major toxic constituents of Green liquor and therefore it is justified to use read across information and utilize relative large dataset available for volatile sulfides/soluble sulfide salts.
