Description of key information

The test item PPDA is considered as not auto-flammable up to the melting point of 156.2 to 179.2 °C under the test conditions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The auto-flammability behaviour was determined according to EU method A.16 by placing the test item into a stainless steel cube and heating the environment with the ZPA-3 oven from room temperature to 200 °C.

At the end of the test, the test item was melted and the appearance was slightly darker.

No increase in the temperature of the sample in comparison to that of the oven could be detected, also no signs of ignition could be observed.

Therefore, the test item PPDA should be considered as not auto-flammable.
