An accelerated storage stability study showed that the test item remained stable for 8 weeks at 54°C. The same data apply equally to the technical active substance. The Reaction Product formed between Ethylene glycol and Paraformaldehyde does not contain chlorine and therefore will not form polychlorinated dioxins during thermal decomposition or pyrolytic processes. It does not contain nitrogen and will therefore not form oxides of nitrogen or cyanides during thermal decomposition or pyrolytic processes.

In a test according to OECD 113 , EGForm was thermally stable between 25 and 150°C.
