A study was performed to determine the rate of hydrolysis of HMX as a
function of pH, according to OECD Guideline 111. HMX is stable at pH 4,
7 and 9. Preliminary testing was carried out at pH 4, 7 & 9. Results
indicated the need for extended testing at pH 9.
HMX is not readily biodegradable.
