Description of key information

According to column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 "The study does not need to be conducted if the melting point is above 300 °C." The melting point of Melam is above 300 °C.
The vapour pressure of melam at 25 °C was estimated by the modified Grain method of the MPBPVP-tool within the EpiSuite v4.1 programme to 1.71E-10 Pa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The vapour pressure of melam at 25 °C is 1.71-10 Pa and not the value of 0.000000002 as forced in the field "Value used for CSA" above.
