Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The adsorption coefficient (Koc) was determined by application of OECD 121 to ethyl methyl carbonate.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Under the conditions of this study, the adsorption coefficient was 1.58: Log Koc = 0.199 (determined at 40 degrees C using HPLC).

This finding suggests that ethyl methyl carbonate is unlikely to exhibit binding to soil or sediment particulates.
