Additional information

The aqueous solution of Ettringite is strong alkaline, in which the aluminate exists as complex of aluminium species [e.g. Al(OH)4-]. Ettringite decomposes to insoluble aluminum hydroxide when added to water and could therefore not be considered to dissociate under naturally relevant pH (4-9) conditions.
