Description of key information

The bioconcentration factor of the two main hydrolysis products of 77PD, 1,4 -dimethylpentylamino-p-phenol and 1,4-Dimethylbutylamine; its BCF ranges from 1.7 - 109.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to the rapid degradation of 77PD (half-life 3.6 hours) in aqueous media, a bioaccumulation potential is not expected. However bioconcentration factors for the primary hydrolysis products are available: BCF of 1,4 -dimethylpentylamine is <=17 (experimental, read-across from 1,3 -dimethylbutylamine) and BCF of

1,4 -dimethylpentylamino-p-phenol is 109 L/kg (calculated). The latter result is supported by information from the primary hydrolysis product of 6PPD and 7PPD which is 4 -hydroxydiphenylamine (BCF up to 49, experminental)
