Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No sediment toxicity study available. However, further testing on sediment toxicity is not justified.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex X, studies on sediment toxicity do not need to be conducted as the substance has a low potential for adsorption (log Kow = 2.53) and therefore no significant concentrations are expected in the sediment compartment. This is supported by exposure assessment carried out using Chesar, indicating low exposure to the sediment compartment.

The PNECs sediment were derived by equilibrium partitioning method. All the relevant RCRs derived from exposure assessment are well below 1, therefore the available information can be considered sufficient. In conclusion further testing on sediment toxicity is not justified.
