Description of key information

Unlikely to be oxidising

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

As the 3 main components of potassic extract (K2SO4, CaSO4 and Na2SO4) do not contain any chemical group associated with oxidising properties (according to R.7-29 of Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance (ECHA, 2008)), potassic extracts are unlikely to be oxidising.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the available data the substance does not fulfil the criteria for classification as oxidising:

Classification according to CLP

Reason for no classification: conclusive but not sufficient for classification

Classification according to DSD / DPD

Reason for no classification: conclusive but not sufficient for classification
