In aqueous solution, the three main constituents of potassic extracts are completely dissociated into the potassium, sodium, calcium and sulfate ions. Therefore, hydrolysis does not occur.

Additionally, being simple inorganic salts, the three main constituents are not susceptible to photodegradation.
