Additional information

Short term ecotoxicological data are available for chloromethane. All data - experimental as well as QSAR estimates - give comparable results for fish and aquatic plants. They indicate a relatively low toxicity. It therefore seems justified to derive a PNEC based on the valid short term study with Daphnia magna, this is the most sensitive result (EC50 of 200 mg/L).
