High adsorption potential of Isopropyl palmitate to soil and sediment particles (log Koc 5.37).

No studies are available for Isopropyl palmitate on adsorption/desorption. Using KOCWIN v2.00, a log koc value of 5.37 (estimate from log Kow) was calculated, indicating a high adsorption potential of the test substance. This result is supported by a read-across, on Fatty acids, C16-C18 and C18 unsatd., branched and linear, Bu esters (CAS: 16391-32-8), where a log Koc >5.63 was established in a guideline study according to EU Method C.19 under GLP conditions.
