LC50(96h) Danio rerio >10000 mg/L.

In general, all LC50(96h) values derived with different fish species for various test substances in the SCAE C2 -C8 category were above the limit of water solubility.

In the key study, the acute toxicity of Isopropyl palmitate to the zebra fish (Danio rerio) was tested under semi-static conditions according to ISO 7346 -1 at the following concentrations: 1000, 3000 and 10000 mg/L (Richterich 2001). There were no toxic or sublethal effects observed in the species tested after an incubation period of 96 hours at any concentration.

In a read-across from Fatty acids, C8 -16, 2 -ethylhexyl esters (CAS 135800 -37 -2), the marine species Scopthalmus maximus was tested with a WAF, resulting in a LL50(96h) value > 5600 mg/L (nominal)(Hudson 2002).
