Additional information

A study was conducted according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.9, OPPTS 830.6315 and ISO 3679:2004 to determine flash point of the test item using a closed cup method. The start temperature for the main test (112 °C) was chosen based on available information. Therefore, 4 mL of the test item are filled in the cup and heated to the estimated temperature. Then the substance was maintained for at least 1 minute at this temperature. The flame was dipped in the cup and it was checked if ignition occurred. The measured flash point at atmospheric pressure was corrected to a standard pressure of 1013 hPa. The flash point was determined to be at 116.68 °C (corrected to the ambient pressure). Thus, the flash point of the test item was determined to be 116.5 °C (corrected and rounded down to the nearest multiple of 0.5 °C) at 1013.25 hPa. No observations were made which cause doubt on the validity of the outcome of the study.
