Description of key information

Based on a weight-of-evidence approach, the flash point of the substance was determined to be 3 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
3 °C

Additional information

The flashpoint determined with a closed cup method is 2.8 ºC (Dangerous properties of industrial materials, 2004). The atmospheric pressure at which the flashpoint was measured, is not reported. The Fire Protection Guide to Hazardous Materials (2002) reports a flash point at 3 ºC at 1013 hPa. According to the Gestis database, the flash point of pyrrolidine is 3°C at 1013 hPa. The data derived from the different data sources are consistent, justifying a weight-of-evidence approach.
