Description of key information

The log Pow of the substance was determined to be 0.22 at 25 °C.

Data were taken from a scientifically acceptable study with detailed documentation. Different QSAR calculation give results in the same range. The log Pow was measured according to BASF standard method using shake-flask as type of the method. The test substance was monitored in both equilibrium phases by titrimetric determination. The mean value of three determinations is: log Pow = 0.22 at 25 °C and pH 11.3 - 11.6 (BASF AG, 1989). SPARC calculation resulted in a log Pow of -1.89, -1.88, -1.35 at pH 5, 7 and 9 resp. EpiWIN calculation resulted in a log Pow of 0.7 at 25°C (uncharged molecule). According to Hansch et al (HSDB database) a log Pow of 0.46 was found at 25°C at pH=13.
