Additional information

The biodegradability of 2 -[2 -(3 -aminopropoxy)ethoxy]ethanol (CAS 112 -33 -4) was assessed in an OECD 301B test under enhanced conditions (BASF SE, 2012; report no. 29G0790/11G137). The inoculum was activated sludge from a municipal wastewater treatment plant treating predominantly domestic sewage. After 28 d, the substance was degraded to 15% (CO2/ThCO2). After 49 d, the value reached 74% and after 60 d of exposure, the substance was degraded by 100%. Therefore, the substance is assessed to be not readily biodegradable but inherently biodegradable.
