Description of key information

The substance was readily biodegradable in a closed-bottle test fulfilling the 14-day window.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

The ready biodegradability of the substance was shown under GLP in a valid closed-bottle test according to OECD TG 301-D at two test concentrations of 2 and 5 mg/L. The percentage degraded after 28 days was 72% at 2 mg/L and 63% at 5 mg/L (based on oxygen consumption). Rapid biodegradation of the substance in the aquatic and terrestrial environment is expected.
