Description of key information

Aluminium trilactate is reported to be not self-ignitable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The self-ignition temperature of Aluminium trilactate (93% a.i.) was determined according to EU test method A.16, 30 May 2008.

An exothermic effect of the test substance by self-heating was observed at an oven temperature of 301°C. During this effect the test substance reached a temperature of 351°C. According to the guideline, a test substance is self-ignitable when the sample temperature reaches 400°C by selfheating. Based on this, the test substance is considered not self-ignitable.
