Description of key information

Aluminium trilactate is reported to be non flammable.

The flammability of Aluminium trilactate (93% a.i.) was determined according to EU test method A.10, 30 May 2008.

No propagation of combustion of the test substance along 200 mm length of the pile within 4 minutes was observed. According to the guidelines, performance of the burning rate test is not required. Based on the results obtained, the test substance is considered non flammable.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the available data, Aluminium trilactate does not need to be classified as flammable according to Regulation EC No 1272/2008 and Directive 67/548/EEC.
