The following sample types were chosen as representative for the production processes depending on origin of raw material (primary or secondary) and slag cooling rate ( :rapd coolig /granulation or slow cooling)
Type I: Slag, Granules, Primary
Type II: Slag, Granules, Secondary
Type III: Slag, Slow cooled, primary
Type IV: Slag, slow cooled, secondary

12 samples representative for the slag types described above were colleced at different sites

Sampling and sample preparation was performed according to ECI/REACH C1 Sampling Protocol. The C1 sampling protocol also provides detailed information on the identity of the samples (see IUCLID section 1.4).
