Description of key information

Data waived - Study scientifically not necessary / other information available. The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid which decomposes before boiling. Column 2 of REACH Annex VII provides the following exemption: A boiling point study does not need to be conducted for solids which either melt above 300°C or decompose before boiling. Nickel dihydroxide decomposes prior to boiling at 199.5°C. See Melting Point data in IUCLID section 4.2 (Study report #2877-0009: Harlan Labs: Nickel dihydroxide determination of general physico-chemical properties. Study in 2010; Report March 30, 2010).
