Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

- Interpretation of results:
- other: This study was used for additional labelling provisions as required by CLP for flammable liquid
- Conclusions:
- The lower flammability limit of the test item vapour is 1.75% (v/v) at 105°C.
The upper flammability limit of the test item vapour is >17.2 % (v/v) at 140°C - Executive summary:
The lower and upper flammability of test item vapors have been determined according to a recognized guideline. No deviation from this guideline was observed in the study.
The lower flammability limit of the test item vapour is 1.75% (v/v) at 105°C.
The upper flammability limit of the test item vapour is >17.2 % (v/v) at 140°C. The upper flammability limit cannot be exactly determined due to the apparatus technical limitations.
Referenceopen allclose all
The lower and upper flammability limits were determined using 5 experimental measurements.
The upper flammability limit cannot be exactly determined due to the apparatus technical limitations. Indeed, the maximum temperature that the apparatus can reach is 140°C. At this temperature, an orange flame was observed.
Description of key information
As the substance is a liquid, this endpoint is obsolete (already covered by the Flash point).
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Flammability:
- not classified
Additional information
CLP regulation require additionnal information for flammable liquid. For substance without flash point up to 60°C and that can eventually lost non-flammable components, the explosion (or flammable) limits should be determined .
The lower and upper flammability of test item vapors have been determined in a key study of Klimisch validity one.
The lower flammability limit of the test item vapour is 1.75% (v/v) at 105°C.
The upper flammability limit of the test item vapour is >17.2 % (v/v) at 140°C. The upper flammability limit cannot be exactly determined due to the apparatus technical limitations.
Based on these limits, the test item is labelled with the additional information EUH018 according to CLP.
