​Abiotic degradation is not a relevant environmental fate pathway for the target substance Fatty acids, C8-10, oxybis(2-hydroxy-3,1-propanediyl) esters (CAS 92044-91-2). Hydrolysis is not relevant because the substance is readily biodegradable and can thus be expected to undergo rapid and ultimate degradation in most environmental compartments, including biological sewage treatment plants (Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7b, ECHA, 2017). Indirect photodegradation is not expected because the substance is unlikely to evaporate into the atmosphere based on its vapour pressure (< 0.0001 Pa at 20 °C, SPARC. version 4.6).
