Conclusions:
The partition coefficient of DPX-X1179 was determined according to regulatory guidelines: OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals: Partition coefficient (n-Octanol/water): shake flask method, Test Guideline 107 (Adopted 27 July 1995), OPPTS 830.7550 and EEC A.8.
The partition coefficient of DPX-X1179 was studied in water incubated under laboratory condition at 25.2°C using the shake flask method. The samples were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography. The ratio of n-Octanol: water used in the study was 1:1, 1:2 and 2:1. The mean log partition coefficient (log Kow) of DPX-X1179 determined in water was 0.11 ± 0.03. The mean partition coefficient (Kow) determined in water was 1.30.
