Description of key information

The vapour pressure of Tall oil, reaction products with N-(2-aminoethyl)piperazine, has been determined according to the OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals, No 104, by the gas saturation method. The vapour pressure was examined at three different temperatures (49°C, 36°C and 23°C).The analyte was liquid at all measured temperatures. The flow rates were varied between 150 and 750 ml/min and the analysed gas volume was typically between 50 -250 l.

Calculated vapour pressures:

At 49°C: 5.10 -7 Pa

At 36°C: <2.10 -7 Pa (detection limit at 173 l analysed gas volume)

At 23°C: <3.10 -7 Pa (detection limit at 249 l analysed gas volume)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0 Pa
at the temperature of:
23 °C

Additional information

The vapour pressure was very low, and it was not possible to calculate an exptrapolated vapour pressure at 20°C and 25°C.
