Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance is considered to be non-explosive.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

An assessment was conducted to determine the explosiveness of the registered substance based on an examination of the composition of the substance and the molecular structure of its components. It was concluded that the test substance does not have explosive potential and does not require classification as an explosive. In addition, a supporting study was conducted on the substance using Differential Scanning Calorimetry using methodology equivalent to OECD Testing Guidelines 102 and 103. The substance did not demonstrate explosive potential, based on the results of the DSC. This result supports the assessment carried out on the composition of the substance and the molecular structure of its components.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is considered to be not classified as an explosive as there are no structural features of the substance associated with explosiveness, and the Differential Scanning Calorimetry did not show any sudden, significant exothermic events during heating such as might be expected if the substance was explosive.
