L-arginine is non-oxidising according to definition under consideration of the structure and experience in handling and use. The substance does not contain any chemical groups which are associated with oxidising properties. In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the oxidising properties do not need to be tested, because the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials on the basis of the chemical structure.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Oxidising properties are not expected as substance does not contain any chemical groups which are associated with oxidising properties. The substance does not require classification as an oxidising substance (soild).
